Matilda is a lot like the flower in this video. First of all, the flower started out as a green thing without much maturity. When Matilda started out, she was stubborn and immature, just like the flower. Then, the flower bloomed, and it became more mature, and matilda became more mature after the fever. SO, matilda and the flower are very alike.

I think Matilda is like a tulip because, she was kind of quiet in the beginning of the book, & she always did what her mother told her. But as the fever started striking Philadelphia, her life started changing. She had to deal with more things, like death of her grandfather, & the missing scene of her mother. She even found a child named Nell, & took custody of her. After that, she started blossoming into a young adult pretty much.

Matilda is like the flower in the is video because the flower blossomed. so the flower oped up. The flower in the video is like Matilda because in the beginning of the book she kinda had less courage in herself. Then near the end of the book she bloomed like a flower. What i mean by saying she bloomed like flower, is that she opened up more. Like she got more courage in herself.

I think Matilda is like a tulip because, in the beginning of the book she seemed quiet and did what her mom said. She also seemed like she didn't have a lot of courage. Then when the fever hit Philadelphia her mom got sick then went missing. Also when the fever struck her grandfather had died. Due to what had happened to Matilda she know has blossomed like a tulip. What i mean by saying she blossomed like a tulip is that she had ore courage in her self and believes that she can live on her own. So she started having an good attitude like an adult would.

Mattie is like the flower in the video in many ways. One way is that it grows up to be beautiful. I think Mattie has grown up to be beautiful too. They both grew up to be wise and beautiful things. I also think they both represent good things. A flower usually means something good. Mattie is a very nice person just like the flower is too. They both are graceful. That's how i think Mattie and flower are alike.

Mattie is like a tulip because at first they aren't very pretty like on the inside Mattie asks kinda of like a brat but as the fever outbreaks and Mattie is touched by her mother having yellow fever..her having yellow fever and then her grandfather's death. She changes on the inside realizing what matters in life as they flower changes by blooming into a prettier thing. So both are growing up into a adult(in a way).

Matilda is like that flower because In the beginning the Flower is closed up. So is Matilda, she doesn't like to work or help she just likes to sit back and relax or go out side and play. But in the middle of the book, she Kind of opens up and starts working a little harder just like the Flower. Then the Flower is totally opened up, just like Matilda because she then takes ownership of the coffee shop and Kind of takes charge of where her life is going. This Flower is Just like Matilda because as they both grow they both change a lot.
