Insert a celebrity or famous character (my favorite is Indiana Jones) into the book. What would happen? How would they interact with the characters? How would the story change? Answer in 1-2 paragraphs.

What is your favorite genre?
Why Blog?
1. This blog will allow students from different class periods to discuss great literature when they would not have been able to otherwise.

If Spider Man was in Fever then i think it would be very different then how the book is now. If Spider Man took Mattie's spot in this book then he would be off trying to find a cure. He would also be off helping people. How he would be able to help people is collecting food for all of the hungry people. He would also probably try to help the orphans as much as he could. That's how i think it would be like if Spider Man took Mattie's spot.
The character i chose to insert into the book "Fever" is Josh Stewart from the new t.v. show, No Ordinary Family. (Everyone reading this should watch it Tuesday night at 8.) Well, if josh was in Fever,then here's how it would go: Since Mattie's friend Polly died and no one knows how yet, they all are very curious and suspicious. Then more people each day start to die and die and die. When people from all over are dying, they have to all flee the city from the horrible plague. When Mattie and her grandfather go away form the plague, they find someone on the road! Was it really? It was Josh! The escaped prisoner! When he was bailed out by his father, he was given a medicine. He had powers. His power was reading minds, earsing minds, and now he could infect and kill people by touching normal things they touch so the disease spreads through-out their system! He disease's everyone and soon when the plague from him is over, because he touched what they touched and didn't remember that he was a regular person and he could catch that too, and so the plague was over when he died from his own disease!!! How incredible! but everything else form the book also happened. So, don't be stunned.
If I put Will Ferell in this book he would change it in a couple ways. First, he would make it a lot happier because of his great sense of humor, so instead of it being sad most of the time he could change the mood and make it happy. Also, he knows a lot about some of the medical advancements we have since he's "from the future". So, maybe he would be helpful to stopping the fever.
Will Ferell would probably get along well with all of the characters because of how funny he is. Everyone who was having trouble with life would hang out with him and he would make them happy. I think he'd especially get along well with the mom because she needs some serious cheer-up, and he could provide that. Maybe they could even get married. This is how Fever would be with Will Ferell in the book.
If Super Man was in this book
Fever i think it would be very different. If Super Man took Grandfathers spot then he wouldn't have died and probably just lived for ever. Then he could have helped Mattie threw everything. But also if he had stayed then Mattie wouldn't have known how to be her own person. So that's what i think would have happened if Super Man took Grandfathers spot in the book Fever.
It was at the worst of times when he arrived into what has become the ghost town of Philidapia. He arrived in his wagon,with the beautiful white horse. The news spread quickley through the sick town,The rich Mr.LaRose has come to help save the sick! To our suprise he came to our coffe shop! As Eliza answered the door she shrieked "Thank godness! Are you hear to help us? He spoke in a country accent,"Yea,I am!" he said. He came in and checked out Nell and the twins. He sniffed the air and summoned me and Eliza over to the twins bed side."they will live.They need rest and study for vocabulary quiz and learn adjectives!" He was said.Well Mr.LaRose saved their lives even with his odd ways and it only cost a few pence! Thats was what happened when the rich Mr.LaRose came to town.
If The Incredible Hulk was in fever he would probably find an antidote as Bruce Banner and cure everyone and then he would probably get mad at the American doctors because they still bleed people and he'd turn into the Hulk and beat them into a pulp unless they stopped bleeding people.
If Barak Obama were in the book taking George Washington's place he would probably ignore the fever. Obama would probably be playing basketball with all of the townspeople. However, Matilda being the brave girl she is, would try to solve the problem of the fever by getting the leader of America to help. She would march right up to him and demand him to stop the fever. He would reply with, "Beat me in a game of one on one and maybe I will". Matilda takes the ball and checks it with Obama. As soon as the ball was returned to Mattie she went up and dunked it from the foul line. (That's where Michael Jordan got that idea from) After Matilda wins Barak agrees to help out. However, Barak's idea of helping out only applies to himself. Barak helps out by fleeing the city until the frost comes and the fever ends.
