Why Blog?
1. This blog will allow students from different class periods to discuss great literature when they would not have been able to otherwise.

I think there really is a hound. The footprints couldn't be from anything else. Plus, in the movie we saw in the first thing a man look scared because of what looked to be a dog. Also the story is called The Hound of Baskerville.
Probably. There were the footprints, so it couldn't be an illusion. Many people have seen the hound, and the description is generally the same. I wouldn't rule out a fake hound, but there probably is one.
I do believe there is a hound. I have evidence that there really is a hound. First of all, there are paw prints that are found nearly 20 yards from the body. Only dogs, cats, etc (very little other animals) can have paw prints. Plus, there is a couple of slits in Sir Charles neck. The dog was big and had ratical red eyes! The story, The Hound of Baskervilles, has the word Hound, which means dog! So i hope you believe my evidence or you can read the book yourself!
I think that there is really a hound. There are several clues that point to this. One of them, are the footprints about 20 yards away from Sir Charles' body. Another thing is that people have heard the howling of a hound. Lastly, there have been sightings made by a countryman, a farrier, and a moorland farmer, of a gigantic hound. All of these things point to why there is a real hound.
I think don't think there is a real hound. First of all, there were giant paw prints not too far away from Sir Charles' dead body, anyone can fake giant paw prints. Second, there were reports of howling and the howling wasn't necessarily the hound it could have been an ordinary dog. Last, the hound that killed Hugo could have just been a legend and the hound would not have survived up to now if it was real because the average life span of the dog is no where near that long. In the end, the "Hound of Baskerville" is just a hoax.
Yes I believe there is a real hound. The main reason I think this is the footprints close to Sir Charles dead body that Dr. Mortimer discovered. Also, there have been reports of howling from 3 people. Finally, some people even said they saw something resembling a hound. There is a chance that the hound is fake, but looking at all the evidence, I think the hound is real.
Personnally I think that the hound is not real. I think that it will be a suspect and that it is a red herring. A red herring is a clue that is givin by the author that is not true/leads you in the wrong direction.I think that they will frame the hound but it will be a suspect,an unsuspected suspect.
I beleive that there is a real hound. I beleive that because many peasants have seen the hound. Also Sir Henry saw it. Another reason i beleive there is a hound is because at night almost everyone says they hear sounds of a dog coming from the moor at night. Those are the reasons i beleive there is a hound.
