What did you learn?

Looking back at this year, what are three key things you have learned in Mr. LaRose' s class? They do not necessarily need to be academic. Explain.

I have learned in Mr. Larose's class are many things. First, I have learned to view things in a different way than I used to, inside and outside of school. He has taught me to be generous no matter what, to help the people in need. Also, he has taught me to learn from my mistakes and to compel myself to do better in life because it pays off in the end. Thirdly, I have learned that life is a competition and the point contest is just activity to get us ready for the big world. Another thing I have learned is respect. Lastly, Mr. Larose's class has taught me if we all come together than we can achieve our goal and do something for the better.

From looking back at this year there are a lot of things I have learned in Mr.LaRoses class. One of them is he taught me how to be a winner. Every week we did point contest and that would push almost everyone to do better in his class and even out of his class. But I realized the numbers on the board don't matter that much, as long as you're happy with what you have done then you're a winner. Another thing being in his class taught me is more academic things like vocab and not putting studying off to the last minute so im ready. Being in Mr.LaRose's class has taught me a lot.

In L.A. I learned about parts of speech and alliterations. But what I really learned was that even if you don't like the person/ people you are pared up with, doesn't mean that you have to sacrafice getting a good grade. To me getting good grades is important, but at the beginning of the year I didn't realize how much they actually meant to me. Now I know that Just because I may not like my group its still my job to make sure that I do the best I can and get the best grade possible for me.

The three key things I learned in this class would be..Well the first thing I probably learned is better skills on teamwork. With the point contests when a person was off topic, it didn't affect just them but everyone with losing points. And on the other hand we all worked together to get points. Another key thing I have learned is many moral lessons. Mostly, not to take life for granted. Well being in this class we have watched clips on Japan,Alabama,We have read books where back in that time period people died right in front of each other every day,We read and watched A Christmas Carol, and It's a wonderful life which was about people who had a great life but they slowly threw it all away and became depressed. This each had many morals but they all had a main one which is Don't take life for granted because you could end up with an earthquake, you could end up losing people to disease, when you make mistakes in life try your hardest to fix them. The last of my three key things I have learned this year would be how to learn vocab words faster.Usually it would take me longer to learn them but now with quizlet and vocab cards it has made it easier for me to learn them.

This year in Mr.Larose's class i learned that L.A can be a fun class because we didn't always do school work sometimes we did fun things. Secondly, i learned that studying really helps if you have a big test because ever since i started studying the night before a test, i have been getting really good grades in L.A. Finally, in Mr. Larose's class i learned that teachers will really respect you more if you always do your work and participate a little bit more in class.

1.) I learned many new vocab words and the definitions of them too. 2.) I learned that if you study hard and just trust yourself on a test or quiz you can get a good grade. 3.) I learned that from the activities we did, teamwork is better than a free-for-all and that you will do better as a team than being a lone wolf.

I have learned much more than three things in Mr. Larose's class this year. I have learned many academic things as well as life lessons. I'll list the three most important things I learned. The first thing is how important friendship is by reading Crispin. The next important thing I learned is many new words to add to my vocabulary. The final thing I learned is how to better understand the things I read. In summary I learned many things in Mr. Larose's Language Arts class this year. However, the importance of friendship, a vast new vocabulary, and how to better understand what I read ultimately come out on top.

I learned new techniques of how to write essays, learned new ways of how to stay involved in my reading books by taking the notes every night, and also got the chances to starting reading books more then I was before coming to school here.

I learned new ways to write an essay. Also I learned to take notes on the reading that I do each night. Another thing that I found out is that there a some good books out there that by looking at the cover or reading the back of them they might not look good but the really are good books. Those are some things I learned in seventh grade Language Arts class.

I learned in L.A. are different vocabulary words. Also I learned that 7th grade is not as toiling as it seems. Lastly I learned that some teachers know how to have fun.

Looking back at this year, I have learned that teachers probably take a lot of time off their hands to plan these lessons, as well as attempt to give them a creative flair. I learned that Mr. LaRose has given many opportunities that let students show their best efforts in their work. (Although there ARE some exceptions.) Finally, one last key thing that I have learned from looking back at this year that was probably the most important, was that in order to succeed, you must get things done without procrastinating. (Otherwise, you will have this feeling of being incompetent and unfulfilled.)

I learned many things in Mr. LaRose's class. One thing I learned is that there is much more to parts of speech than I thought. I also have a much bigger vocabulary now because of all the vocab work we have done. That is all I can think of now so ... goodbye!

Well one of the non-academic things that L.A has helped me learn is organization. I wasn't a very organized person when i first came into this class but it made the class harder if you weren't organized so it made me try harder to be. Academic wise i learned how to write essays pretty well. At the beginning of the year i remember having to write an essay or some type of paper in this class and i didn't get a very good grade, but when we did one in the end of the year i did. I also learned a lot of new vocabulary.

I learned many things from this whole interesting but kinda fun year of language arts. Here are the things that are most important I learned new vocabulary, formats to writing essays, and how to connect events in books to other things or topics. The good thing about learning new vocabulary is that I can start using big words that people don't even know what they mean. And whats good about learning new formats for essays is that when I go to high school and they ask us to write essays I'll know exactly where to start. And lastly, the good thing about being able to connect events in books to things is if you have a test or quiz and you connect an event in the book thats on the test to it. And you remember the event then you will do better. To conclude, those are the top three things I learned this year.

There were many different things I learned in Language Arts this year. First of all, I learned that Quizlet can be a very good website to help study for vocabulary tests with. I also learned a lot about adjectives and adverbs and the different forms they can be in. Another useful thing that I learned was that there are many different good books that I still have not read, and that would be fun to read over the summer. I learned lots of new things about writing techniques such as writing in the present tense and using words that will make your sentences sound more fluent. The final thing that I learned in Language Arts this year is that it isn't always a boring class, it can be fun if you work hard when you are supposed to so you have time left over for fun things when you finish. Language Arts this year has been a more exiting class than I have ever had in my past experiences.

This year I learned so many things. Last year and the beginning of this year I cared what grades I would get.. but the most valuable thing I learned this class is that it doesn't matter what grade you get, it matters if you tried your best and if you did all that you can. This class was really fun because we didn't have to just sit there and read boring books and write essays all the time, we actually did hands on stuff like going outside exc... I used to give up on reading hard books but I learned in this class to never give up. I have completed way more books than last year. This class improved myself as a learner and a reader.

I learned many things in Language Arts this year. First, I learned that learning and reading and writing can be fun. Some examples include: Quizlet, the point contest, and Fun Days. Also, I learned a lot of new vocabulary, every word I felt like I mastered and could use it in a sentence regularly. Lastly, I learned about parts of speech, which is good because we had only talked about them in elementary school, and now if someone asks me what one is I can tell the. Those are three of the things I learned in Language Arts this year.

Three things I have learned this year is how to be a better writer. Like when we do essays I know how to make it a good one so I can get a good grade on it. Secondly, I learned how to work as a class to be able to win the point contest. Lastly, I learned much more vocabulary words then I new from the beginning of the year.

3 key things I learned in this class are, vocab skills, reading skills, & putting together essays. I never thought I could learn that many new words, but I guess I can. Also, I'm not a big reader, & this year I learned what sort of books I'm interested in. Lastly, putting together essays. I never knew how or what to write in all the essays I've done, but being in this class really helped me figure out how to set it up, & what to talk about. So, being one of Mr. Larose's students helped me with pretty much everything.

What i have learned in Mr. Larose's class is u needed to study the vocab words when they are in the board when your writing your homework down on your planner. Second thing is that Mr. Larose always tell us that we got to do our notes so we get what is happening in our book and the connection has to be really good to grade us well. Third thing is when Mr. larose showed us the adjective, noun, pronoun, and verbs that helped me a lot. It also helped me understand words i never knew before i moved to Mr. larose class.

Over the year i have learned A LOT of things from Mr.LaRose, some important, some not so much. One thing that i have learned is to be a winner and never give up,for example When the amazing Ms.Myer's class beat everyone on Yippe day he said we got lucky and still has the dream of beating everyone on feild day....(yeah right!) Another thing I learned from Mr.Larose taught me is that its possible to do almost anything. For example a few times, eriod 6 came back from no where and won the point contest. That makes me belive that I can do anything, even invent a word...PROESIONALISMNESS! Lastly Mr.LaRose taught me about grammer,my grammer was pretty bad but Mr.LaRose came and now my grammer is gooder then yours! Just kidding! Mr.LaRose has made learning fun and so i actually do know my grammer and vocabulary. Thank you Mr.LaRose!

I learned a lot of things in Mr. Larose's class this year. The first thing I learned is new vocabulary and how to use them in sentences inside and outside of school. The second thing I learned are the type of adjectives, adverbs, and good grammar by watching the cartoon videos from the beginning of the year and by the notes that the class took. The third thing I learned in Language Arts this year is how to write an essay with the master check list we went over this year. So now for other classes, I'll be able to write a five paragraph essay if we have to.
