Why does Matilda dream of the hot air balloon?

To dream of a hot air balloon could mean that your life is rising up and you are beginning to feel better. It may mean that good health is on the way for Matilda or that something good is going to happen. After looking up what it means to see a hot air balloon in your dream I have realized that Matilda probably dreamed that because it is time to get out of her depression. Maybe, the sickness is just what she needs to do that. Her grandfather had told her mother and her that just because of a fever going around they shouldn't cancel their daily routines. I think that Matilda is thinking that this is a way to get out of her boring life and have some fun.
There are many reasons why see would think of a hot air balloon. First off, she might dream of them because she wants to explore the world when she gets older. Another reason that she may dream about hot air balloons, is that her grandfather told her a story about them and how he has been on one and how fun they are. The next reason that she would daydream about hot air balloons is that her mood is down so she wants it to be picked up. That is why Matilda may daydream about hot air balloons.
Matilda dreams of a hot air balloon because of the freedom she might have. She does not like the life of a women back then. So what better way to escape than by air? that is why Matilda dreams of a hot air Balloon.

I think Matilda frequently dreams about hot air ballon because she wants t get away. She once watched some guy go up in a hot air ballon and go to Paris and that must have inspired her.She tends to walk around and relate a lot of things to Paris and the hot air ballon,for example she was at the market and scratched a lemon and sniffed it and thought something like this is what it smells like in Paris. I think,since she can't stand getting up or her mothers yelling she will escape all the bad and go to Paris and she will ride in a hot air ballon with maybe her"husband" maybe not to Paris but something like that.That is why I think shedreams about hot air ballons

I think Matilda's dream of hot air balloon could be a sign of her wanting to just get away from the fever by just flying away and not having any worries in her life. This is logical because Matilda seems stressed.
I don't really know i mean im not confucious or anything but I think the hot air balloon is a sign of foreshadowing. In the begining of the book she said she wanted to go to Paris or somewhere so maybe she runs away from the fever and her mother in a hot air balloon she finds or steals. That is a very possible thing. This is something to ponder about.
The dream could be cause they are in 1793 she might really want to ride one. It wasn't really that common. She also might think of leaving for a new life in one. She wants to soar high. Live life to the greatest extent.
Well it was a yellow hot air and yellow means happiness,joy,sunshine and hope.Sooo she could want to get away to somewhere happy and sunny.But i think its more she just wants to get away. Maybe she wants to get away from her mom and the coffee shop So shes not stuck there for here whole life.
Dreaming of the hot air balloon means that she dreaming of her life becoming better she knows she going to go to travel to Paris, and not pick the life her mother ended up in. But when she's worried and wondering if she going to fall or if it won't break it's when mother catches yellow fever,then she catches it; losing Grandfather. She wonders if she will make it threw this or if she won't. So it's there to compare her life that fluctuates like an air balloon.
